We recommend draping your index finger lightly over the top of a filled HydraPouch as shown in the picture at right. Holding the HydraPouch in this way is very comfortable, it keeps the top sealed well, and it allows for a natural arm swing while running. Of course, there are lots of ways to carry a HydraPouch and you should experiment to find the way that works best for you, but most people find this to be the most comfortable and effective.
